Since 2011 I have been teaching English as a Foreign Language to adults. I teach A2 to C2 level, business and general English, including English for specific purposes, e.g. lawyers, nurses, diplomats and scientific researchers.

I have trained over seventy professionals, either individually or in small groups, to take the IELTS test and the Cambridge International Examinations, whether Business or General English (BEC Advanced / Higher / Preliminary and Proficiency / Advanced / First Certificate). I have also prepared students for the International Baccalaureate and TOEFL. All except one achieved or exceeded their desired results.

I also specialise in general / social English with the aim of making people feel more comfortable in an English-speaking environment. This could be at work or at home, whether at a meeting, in the pub, on the phone, at a party or on holiday. I have a wide range of teaching material to fit your needs.

Having been educated at Winchester College and attaining an Honours Degree at King’s College London, I ran a hospitality business for many years before taking the CELTA exam in 2010. I then worked full-time at language schools in London and Switzerland until 2018. Testimonials from past students, and employers’ references can be supplied if required.

Lessons normally take place on Skype or Zoom, and times and dates are flexible to suit your schedule. My rates are significantly lower than the rates charged by comparable language schools.

I am always happy to discuss your requirements in more detail (with no obligation) by phone or on skype.
