Growing up in Winchester, Hampshire, I was educated at Winchester College, where I discovered my love of the English language and my passion for music. I went to university in London, attending King’s College, and attained an Honours Degree in Religious Studies.
I then entered the hospitality industry, where I worked in various European countries in different capacities, including organising bridge and ski holidays from London. Having worked extensively in Switzerland, I purchased a property in Interlaken, and it has felt like home ever since.
My teaching career started in 2010 with a CELTA course at St Giles College in Brighton, followed by a year’s full-time teaching in their Central London branch. Then I was able to return to Switzerland and work for inlingua Language School at their flagship branch in Bern.
After a short sabbatical, during which I taught in a village school in Nepal, I returned to the UK in 2019 for family reasons, and started teaching adults from all over the world online, and children taking their 11+ and 13+ exams. I currently live in London and teach in both students’ homes and online.
